About
Abigail Caperton is a Catholic blogger, podcaster, speaker and Sunday high school catechism teacher. She grew up in a small town of Texas and attributes her love for Christ and the Catholic Church to her mother (and family), Catholic school, youth ministers and the people in her faith community.
Since the fall of 2003, Abigail has served on the high school youth team within her parish. She helps teach Catechism classes, serves on retreat teams and supervises a lot of other high school antics. In all of her efforts involving the youth, Abigail hopes to leads teens into a deeper relationship with Christ in the same manner her youth ministers instructed her.
In 2007, Abigail spent her time working with a Catholic-based non-profit group, Orant Charities. Orant Charities helps sponsor missionary groups in Africa, particularly the missions of The Missionaries of St. Paul in Malawi and the Missionary Society of St. Frances de Sales in Mozambique. Abigail had the great blessing of traveling to both of these countries where she had the opportunity to work with the incredible priests that carry out the call to love God in a profound way.
In addition to high school ministry, Abigail helps coordinate young adult ministry for her parish and serves on the diocesan young adult council. She has been instrumental in organizing a monthly Theology on Tap program in her area and leads various other outreach efforts for the young adult community.
In the fall of 2009, Abigail began her masters in Biblical Studies through the distance education program at Augustine Institute in Denver, CO. While she isn’t sure of the plans God has in store for her, Abigail has strapped herself in the passenger seat and is ready for God to take her down the path He has planned for her.
Abigail is available for speaking engagements on topics of woman’s dignity, chastity, young adult ministry, mission trips and almost any other topic you can throw her way. Contact abigailcaperton@gmail.com for more information.
